Eller’s Home Remodel.

Location: Dallas, GA

Status: Complete

Built in the early 2000’s, this charming 5 bedroom home was in need of a refresh and new kitchen. The existing space was dark, closed off from the adjacent living and dining rooms, and difficult to maneuver through while entertaining. Though structural interventions were needed to open up the wall to the living room, the modular kitchen design allowed for the use of semi-custom cabinets to help keep this project in budget. Hardwood floors were patched and refinished to match the rest of the home, and new lighting was added throughout the kitchen.

With the goal of providing a light, airy, and fluid space, we removed the walls separating the kitchen from the living and dining room. The freestanding range and hood were relocated to the rear wall of the kitchen and flanked by the refrigerator and a full height pantry cabinet. Set in front of the range is the 4’ x 10’ double sided island, featuring a central sink, dishwasher, pull-out trash and pendant lighting above. At the end of the kitchen, a small breakfast nook was created with views out to the backyard and a small coffee bar to accent the space and display family memories.
